How to Join Local 399 (LA Local) and Dues Information

Joining

If you are based in LA and are going to join 399:
There will be "open enrollment"period until the last friday in April
and any Casting Director or Associate can go to the Teamster Local 399 Office
(4747 Vineland Ave. Studio City)
and Join

Call the office and make an appointment with Rosie (818-985-7375).
It will take about 20 minutes to fill out the paperwork.

If you do not sign up during the "open enrollment" period, you will have to prove that you have worked for 30 days (6 weeks) in order to be eligible to join. You will have to pay dues back to when you started doing the covered work.

The initiation fee and dues must be paid by check (no credit cards)
Payments can be made over a three month period.

Initiation fee:
Casting Directors: $1560
Casting Associates: $650
(when Associates become CDs they will be asked to pay the balance)

Dues for Local 399:

Quarterly dues of $249 (based on $83 per month)
are due by the last working day of each of the following months
January, April, July, October
Dues must be paid by check
and can be dropped off at the Union office or mailed there
