The New MOA (memorandum of agreement) is not yet completed and posted...but here is what was handed out at the Ratification Meetings to explain the gains in the new contract:

2008-2011 Teamster Casting Director Agreement
Summary of New Provisions (Not Contract Language)
Term: 3 years
October 1, 2008 - September 30, 2011

Pension and Health Contributions: During the term of this Agreement, contribution rates to the Pension and Health Plans ( but not the Individual Account Plan) shall be increased at the same time and by the same amount as the rates negotiated by the IATSE in their upcoming negotiations.

Individual Account Plan (Percentage Contribution)
The percentage increases as follows:
1% as of 9/28/08 for a total percentage contribution of 3%
1% as of 10/3/08 for a total percentage contribution of 4%
The weekly base rate for calculating the IAP remains the same.
Casting Directors/Motion Pictures $2500 per week
Casting Directors/Television         $2000 per week
Casting Associates                        $700 per week

Minimum Salary for Associate Casting Directors TELEVISION ONLY
Effective January 5, 2009      $675 per week
Effective October 4, 2009      $700 per week
Effective October 3, 2010      $725 per week

New Media
Producers agree to discuss new media issues with the Union during the term of this Agreement

Employment of Teams/Credit Issue
The parties hereby agree that when a team of Casting Directors is engaged for a production, only those members of the team who are actually rendering covered services on the production shall be entitled to pension and health contributions, regardless of the fact that other members of the team receive screen credit on the production.

STRONG SUGGESTION:

On every contract and deal memo that you do make sure the following language is included in the deals

"The Producer further agrees that by signing and entering into this 
Agreement, it hereby also agrees to assume and be bound by the terms 
and conditions of the Studio Transportation Drivers, Local 399/
Theatrical Radio, Television, Field Equipment, Sound Trucks, Motion 
Picture, Film, Exhibition and Orchestra Chauffeurs and Helpers, 
Teamsters Local 817 and AMPTP Casting Director Agreement  ("Casting 
Director Agreement"), and furthermore will take all action necessary 
to effectuate assuming the terms of the Casting Director Agreement."
